The management along with its employees are committed in ensuring that its processes and operations are in compliance with existing guidance, legislations, standards and other requirements related to work, health & safety (WHS).
Also, Wescorp is dedicated to continuously improve its processes especially its WHS management system through active participation and cooperation of its employees in raising awareness and applying work, health & safety practices at all times.
Wescorp’s top management is responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe working environment for both its office & factory employees through provisioning of required resources such as documented processes/system, equipment, facilities, training and awareness as well as supervision
- Ensuring WHS-related objectives and initiatives are established, implemented and reviewed regularly for improvements to adhere with related WHS standards, legislations and other requirements as well as the organisation’s overall strategy
- Maintaining necessary routine inspections and controls to minimise or eliminate potential injury and hazard or risk exposures
- Communicating, demonstrating and promoting WHS-related concerns, solutions or recommendations to its employees and other relevant stakeholders
Wescorp encourages its employees, customers, visitors and contractors in:
- Actively participating and following or cooperating with all WHS-related policies, system, processes and improvements in place to ensure their personal health and safety or that of others
- Reporting or consulting with employees any known or observed workplace injury, hazard or risk and concerns
- Not purposely engaging with unsafe practices or behaviour
Our Work, Health and Safety Policy are available to the public through our notice boards and website (www.wescorp.com.au) as well as part of our induction training for New Staff, Visitors and Contractors. The document is reviewed periodically as part of Wescorp’s Management Review or ISO Annual Meeting and commitment to continuous improvement of its work, health & safety management system.
QUALITY & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
The focus of Wescorp, its management and interested or related parties are to:
- Produce high quality and sustainable sandalwood products to be exported worldwide as per consumer requirements while responsibly maintaining and complying to its quality & environmental management system.
- Provide reliable services such as laboratory analysis and technical reports to Wescorp Group along with its independent stakeholders.
- Support sustainability, research study and development projects for sandalwood with various stakeholders including plantations to ensure long-term protection of sandalwood (spicatum) and its industry.
- Maintain high standard of community and business ethics to all aspects of its operation that ensure essential quality, environmental awareness, sustainability and compliance with applicable standards, legislations and other requirements.
- Remain continuously committed in satisfying consumer requirements and preventing any types of pollution that may occur from its operational activities as well as enhance them.
- Minimise product defects, customer complaints and environmental hazards or risks brought by Wescorp facility and operations.
- Provide necessary resources and continuous training to support its employees for developing their awareness, competency and accountability in improving the organisation’s overall quality and environmental performance.
- Acknowledge, implement, maintain, communicate and regularly review the quality and environmental management system in accordance with existing legislations, standards and other requirements with both consumers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Establish objectives & targets on developing high-quality and environmental-friendly products or services for compliance purposes (as mentioned above).
- Ensure that metrics related to objectives & targets as well as overall performance are continuously monitored and reviewed to aligned with organisation’s strategic goals for continual improvement of its quality and environmental management system.

- to be read in conjunction with the organisation’s Mission Statement as well as yearly Targets and Objectives.
- made known and understood to all employees through its induction training and process
- reviewed periodically or when changes to the business and its processes occurs as part of Wescorp’s Management Review or ISO Annual Meeting and commitment to continuous improvement of its quality and environmental management system.
